During the online event, Prof. Viktor Mechtcherine, the speaker of GRK 2250, welcomed everybody and introduced the format, concept and goals of GRK 2250. After a short personal introduction of all participants, the curriculum of the first semester was presented, which included lectures by the supervisors, presentations by experts, team coaching seminars and the GRK 2250 Summer School to be held in June 2020

Finally, the GRK 2250/2 doctoral researchers and their supervisors offered short presentations of their individual projects, including the motivation, objectives and planned synergetic collaborations with other researchers.
